Tips from other Traders:
General
- bring small change
- bring a beach umbrella, hat and sunscreen, also have warm clothes, it is Cape Town and there WILL be 4 seasons in one day.
- Put price labels on your products. (some people don't like asking)
- Know your price, and how much wiggle room you have to haggle with, people shopping on markets want to feel they are getting a good deal, and even a bargain here and there.
- Have packaging for your products, bags, wrapping paper, if you sell fragile products provide appropriate packaging (try to keep it green!)
- Bring a chair, its a long day. (folding camp/beach chairs are comfy and easy to handle)
- Bring enough stock to make a nice display, you can take leftovers home but it is hard if you run out!
- bring "props" and a tablecloth to dress your stand, if you sell clothing it displays better on a rail than a pile, etc.
- bring a sense of humour and a smile.
